It is an economic activity, which provides livelihood to the people. However, hereditary weaving-skills live on in many families in Rajasthan. The handloom durrie was considered a cheap substitute to cover the floor. So in the present study rural women were exposed to various micro-enterprises based on Chindi durrie weaving.
